When the first preliminary report on next-generation console energy use came out in December, we highlighted the fact that Sony and Microsoft might both be able to substantially improve their performance in short order.
Fast forward five months, and the National Resources Defense Council has released an updated version of its report with more historical information and a full set of estimates for how much power each console consumes.
All in a last-ditch effort to just play Call of Duty 47. There’s no easy way to get inside and scrub that sucker with Windex and a paper towel, but you’re the determined type who doesn’t want to risk not being able to play GTAV every hour of every day. The major contributing factor to a disc read error is a dirty optical lens (the one that your Xbox 360 laser passes through to read the disc itself).
You could send it in to Microsoft, but then that usually requires 2-4 weeks of no Xbox. If there is dirt or dust on the laser lens, your system will eventually fail to read the game disc.

Two reasons: First, it draws almost 2x the power of the PS4 in standby mode, which is where the consoles will spend the vast majority of their time.Having the advantage of the lead, Microsoft was able to experiment with various customization options for the consumer’s individual consoles. The ability to customize the way the console looked with various themes to fit the front and sides of it was something very different for home console users. The free version gets you free game demos, game add-ons, games on demand, arcade games, avatars, and voice/text chat. The Gold Membership gives you Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm, streaming Netflix, video chat, and Xbox Live parties.
